Let’s face it, finding the right interior designer for your home renovation project is one of the most crucial decisions you can make. It IS a make-or-break decision!

When we decided to go with Noorein Kapoor, we chose someone who doesn’t look at her work as just one more job, or one more client.  She actually listens, doesn’t try and force her ideas down your throat, and collaborates.  There is a great deal of expertise required, which she and the team are equipped with and more, but it’s so much better when it flows through organically with the clients wishes and needs, rather than a one-way street.   There will always be certain points of debate and disagreement, however one of the key features of this alliance was the underlying respect that existed in all forms of communication throughout the project.

Creating our home with Noorein was an exceptional experience, as we worked pretty seamlessly together, she never turned down or discouraged a “new” thought or a sudden call saying “I need this” no matter how it could derail the project.  Always willing to listen and accommodate, extremely creative, tenacious and always, always showed up.  We went to the lengths and breadths of the city…and beyond. To give you an example, she called me from a store in Goa as she saw some baskets that she knew I would love and she brought them back for me.  The fact that we are friends beyond this project is a testament to how she works with people, and I think it’s a rare thing to have a friendship with your interior designer.

With this tenaciousness, creativity and commitment, it always shows and because of NKD – we have our dream home.

It was summer of 2021 when we got keys of our dream house in Worli, Mumbai. Needless to say we were over the moon especially with our first baby on the way. We were very excited to start life afresh at our new place with our little angel. It became imperative to find an interior designer who could design our abode & complete it within stipulated period before my due date in winter. I work for a French company & always wanted a house that screams Paris. I wanted a home inspired by global fashion, photography, art and travel. I had a picture in my head of how I wanted it to look. One afternoon while surfing on Instagram, I came across Noorein Kapoor design studio page & rest is history ☺

Since the day I first met Noorein & her team, we connected instantly. We had same aesthetics. NKD created project Savior a masterpiece. Working with NKD was delightfully easy. From the first meeting with them it was clear that they were able to listen to my ideas and then come up with ideas to compliment and improve on mine. Noorein has the gift of not being pushy and is super responsive. We worked together on planning every room before she put together the design concept, once agreed, they started work. We needed someone who not only had vision and design skills but also someone who could project manage. Noorein handled absolutely everything – from the initial layout plans and design, coordinating, soft furnishings and finishing touches. She has a great eye for detail, is able to visualize spaces and is highly creative. She was incredibly organized, responsive and flexible to our ever-changing demands. She had been very aware of the budget and kept within it and had excellent relationships with contractors and suppliers who were already onboard. They were really on top of everything.

Despite the usual setbacks during a project they kept to deadlines and budgets and agreed everything with us as it progressed. We moved into the finished house in December and I couldn’t be happier, it looks and feels exactly as I imagined – but better! NKD made a home for us which emanates an expression of our lifestyle, our personalities, our preferences and many moods. The house turned out to be more beautiful than I ever imagined. She had listened carefully, passionately attending to every need and guiding it to make thrilling choices. The end result is distinctive, functional interior design that is unique – a true reflection of us! We also got featured in many digital mags 😉 What is potentially a very stressful time, has been made pretty much stress-free by working with her and I really don’t know how I could have done this without her. I wholeheartedly recommend her.

Noorein & her team has been brilliant and I will certainly recommend their services to any of my relatives, friends who are looking for a designer. And I do hope that we will be able to work together for any future moves and renovation projects.
